About Sal Merchant
Salman (Sal) Merchant is a freelance filmmaker in the San Fransisco Bay Area who has been woking in filmmaking for the past 15 years.
A graduate of San Jose State University, Sal has been making films since High School using a old Apple iBook and his parents VHS camera. Upgrading his equipment after being accepted to the RTVF program in San Jose State, he has worked on numerous student projects including the feature films Always Learning (2013) and an adaption of The Yellow Wallpaper (2015) both being produced by the University.
Since then he has worked on productions ranging from nationally known tv shows such as American Idol, America’s Got Talent, Undercover Boss and well as corporate video interviews.
